«Neo»
Vous ne vous en souvenez peut être pas de ce jeunot qui avait joué qques minutes de la finale de la coupe de l'UEFA 1996 entre Bordeaux et le Bayern Munich... Je me demandais ce qu'il était devenu et voici la réponse : Cedric Anselin (2005) Yet another of that illustrious club of ex-players, The Half-Gamers, whose brief cameo second-half performance from the subs bench is barely worthy of mention... and then they disappear. Cedric came to us with quite a history: a French U21 international midfielder, he played for Bordeaux and Lille in a career that included the 1996 UEFA Cup Final between Bordeaux and Bayern Munich. Linked with Leeds, Middlesbrough and Southampton, Anselin eventually joined Norwich in 1999, initially on loan and then permanently for £250,000 after impressing in seven league games. He made 18 appearances in 1999-2000, but was released in 2001. A succession of trials with Rushden, Notts County, QPR and Ross County followed, before a brief stint in Bolivia with Oriente Petrolero! Joined Cambridge United in November 2004 on a pay-as-you-play basis, but was released in January 2005. Signed for Gravesend in March after a brief spell at Southend. Played half an hour for the Fleet against Canvey before deciding it wasn't for him and departing back to France for "personal reasons". His sense of direction must have been appalling, however, as he found himself back in Norwich soon after, playing for Norwich United of the Ridgeons League and now at King's Lynn. Clearly a fan of Norfolk... http://www.whitebucket.net/archive/players/a/anselin.html
ocb
